OMGoodness! It's not fanart! XD This is the first painting that I did on OpenCanvas too. It's sloppy. I'll get better at it.

This is the main character from the original series that I'm working on (translation: think about only when it's convenient), aaaaaannnnd she doesn't have a name yet. I'm taking my time with my story. I hope to publish it in a manga, and that would be years from now.

I have come up with some highly original (in my opinion, at least) ideas. This character has the ability to mold and fight with glass, and it isn't limited to just that. It's kinda like glass bending (for Avatar fans ;p), but still different.

She and her twin sister ([link]) are very loyal to their nation and work in a special branch of the government that takes down rebels. She is a lot more versatile in combat than her twin, but her sister is stronger.

My story probably sounds really cheesy right now, but I'm not very good at explaining it. ^^; And I can't take complete credit for the glass ability. *Kamden helped me with this one, but all of the others are my own ideas.

I really want to hear what you guys think, and I would love critiques.

Ooh, I've wanted to try open canvas. Anyway, That's pretty darn amazing for a first time with a new program!
The story sounds very interesting! I'll look forward to seeing it several years from now :p ^^

Advanced Critique section:
I think the right foot is a tad too small. Although it could be the position it's in, in which case you might want to play around with the shading on it a bit more
Also, I think you did a lovely job on the shading of the glass. However, as art viewers we've kind of been programmed a certain way. You used mostly grays to shade the glass. In my mind, gray=metal. So the glass looks a bit more metallic to me. To make it more glassy, maybe add some blues? Despite the fact that glass isn't usually blue, glass in art seems to have blue in it. But not too much blue, because then it will look like ice. Oh dear... Of course, it would be entirely differen't if there were a background and you could see through it. But against white... I think I'm confusing myself now x.x... sorry. I really was going somewhere with that

Anyway, I love the outfit design!

Really? Thank you!

Ah, that foot is supposed to be at an angle, but I see what you mean, and I'll have to go back and fix the glass. :x
