This should have happened in the manga. It really should have. He may have been a long-range fighter, but I strongly believe that Deidara was talented in close combat too. Even while he was armless, he could take on Lee, Gai, and Neji (all super taijutsu ninja) while dodging Tenten's projectile weapons. Deidara was also fast enough to dodge Sasuke's attack (who is now the god of speed
 ). [link] [link] Clearly, Deidara is both fast and a capable taijutsu user. I'd say that this could have been possible. Unfortunately, it seems as though the idea of Sasuke receiving a direct hit gives Kishimoto night frights.I miss the fallible Sasuke that still cared about his friends. I actually had moments of liking him back then. Anyway, this is  's request. She wanted a picture of Deidara totally pwning Sasuke, and think that this qualifies.  I hope that you like it!I really like the lineart, so I'll probably color it eventually.  Anybody who wants to color it can as well. Just give me credit for the lineart and send me a link.  Anywayz I miss the old Sasuke..i hated him after he left team 7 and i dont want him or itachi today cause its weird..-- I was damned to hell but GOD interfered  Humble yourself unto the Lord and He will lift you up^_^ -James 4:10  Yeah, Deidara's probably the only Akatsuki without special eyes capable of handling Sasuke's speed(And Pein doesn't count anymore since we know he has special eyes. lol) and still fighting. The fact that he dodged the first attack is proof enough. Heh. I so wanted to see Sasuke get beat up at least a little. In the end all we got was some cheap "exhaustion". It's better than nothing, but still... I totally have to agree with the night frights comment after Sasuke's ridiculous escape, when he was supposedly almost completely wiped out of chakra, from Deidara's ultimate attack. XD
This picture's awesome. I love the pose especially, like a collision in mid-air during some high-speed dashing/jumping that all speedy types are known for. Haha. -- Miff has a message for you. -Ptooie!-  Mm, I like the thought of Deidara totally smashing Sasuke's face in. Really, Sasuke shouldn't have been able to survive that fight, he was so deprived of chakra he could barely stand. But lo and behold, he still manages to reactivate his sharingan, summon Manda, bend Manda to his will, teleport inside Manda and use some weird time/space/whatever technique to get away. And all of this was done after the explosion took place during the nanosecond before he was hit. Deidara always kicked his little angsty butt in my world.

I would have preferred it if Madara/Tobi had saved Sasuke at the last second. Madara seems to have plans for Sasuke. Whether they are the same as Itachi's, I don't know, but it would have made sense if Madara had saved him.-- I  Jesus!Akatsuki at Arby's Deidara is NOT pleased... I did too. What angers me is that Sasuke has yet to receive a direct hit. Not once in Shippuuden has he received a valid, direct hit! Against Deidara, he blocked and dodged his attacks and was injured and worn out in the process.

 I really do like the idea of Sasuke getting owned by Deidara, it would seriously make my day, if only it happened in manga. I'd also like to smash the Uchiha's face in, and then procced to claw at his eyes and ruin any chances of him reviving his clan. That'll cut his ego down to size...Stupid Chicken ass GO DEIDARA!  -- With skittle-flavoured condoms, you REALLY can taste the rainbow! Profile XD  That must hurt, but Sasuke so deverves it
