His height was finally confirmed in a character design booklet of the Naruto Shippuden DVD6 privilege! He's 166 centimeters or about 5'5". He's about Naruto's height.

I don't know if I'm sad or happy about this. His being so short just makes him so adorable now (a word that he would NEVER want attributed to him ), but I had always imagined (hoped) that he was 5'9" or 5'10" so that he could be taller than me. It's times like this that I wished I wasn't tall for a girl. I like being tall but GOSH DANG IT WHY MUST HE BE SHORTER!

I wish that I didn't have so much homework now. This makes me really want to draw him.

Guys, Deidara is the shortest member of Akatuski. Sasori being shorter was just fandom speculation. On the recent cover of Naruto, Deidara is clearly shorter than both Sasori and Itachi.

Sasuke is even taller than Deidara, it seems, and Naruto and Deidara are the same height. Itachi is actually about 5'10".

Also, people have been wondering about Deidara's age. In his flashback, he was clearly younger than Itachi by 2-3 years at least. Itachi in Shippuden is about 21. I'd say that Deidara is 16-17, maybe 18.
